Pack of ten 5 x 7 blank note Gospel Book cover cards (two each of five styles) and 10 envelopes. These greeting cards feature ancient Gospel Book covers made at different times and in different places. A beautiful collection of cards for all occasions.

Gospel Book Cover Plaque with Christ in Majesty (pictured top left)
Crafted from engraved, chased, scraped, stippled copper, and gilt. Ornamented with dark and light blue, turquoise, green, yellow, red, and white champlevé enamel. Made circa 1210–20 in Limoges, France.

Toros Gospel Book Cover (pictured top middle)
Crafted of brown stamped leather decorated with jeweled and nielloed metal-gilt plaques. Made in 1262 by Toros Roslin at the scriptorium of Hromkla, Armenia.

Gospel Book Cover with Crucifix and Evangelists (pictured top right)
Crafted of ivory from northern France, enamels from Maasland, gilt silver, and copper. Artist unknown, circa 1150-1175.

Jeweled Upper Front Cover of the Lindau Gospels (pictured bottom right)
Ascribed to the so-called court school of Emperor Charles the Bald, grandson of Charlemagne. Crafted circa A.D. 880; a large gold repoussé figure of Christ crucified on a jeweled cross, surrounded by 10 other repoussé figures in mourning poses, framed by a raised jeweled border.
