Celtic Crosses
The Celtic Cross is a design replica of the west face of the 9th century Scriptures or Flann’s standing cross, in the cemetery at Clonmacnoise, County Offaly, Ireland. In the center of the cross we see Christ crucified. To the left, the Virgin Mary and to the right St John the Evangelist. In the panel above the crucifixion we see the Last Supper. In the first panel below the crucifixion we see the arrest of Christ, in the second panel we see the scourging of Christ and in the third panel we see two guards at the tomb being approached by Martha and Mary.
