Russian Cross, Christ and Archangel, two-sided. Sterling silver and gold-plated, approx. 1.25 in ht, chain not included.

The front center panel is of Christ Almighty – the Teacher – the Pantocrator. Christ is pictured with a closed book of gospels. On either side of Christ are the initials IC XC – the first letters for the Greek name of Jesus Christ. On either side of Cross is the Virgin and St John the Baptist. These three figures are collectively known as the Deisis. At the top is the Archangel Michael and at the bottom Archangel Gabriel.

REVERSE SIDE OF CROSS: The top has the icon Christ Made Without Hands – the first icon. The central figure is of St Michael the Archangel – the Defender of the Faith. St Nicholas flanks St Michael on the right and St Sergius on the left.
