Recorded like the Liturgy on the Feast of the Annunciation, beginning with the sound of the Semantron, bell ringing, Vesporal psalm, hymns from the Liturgy and the Stichera for the Feast.

This is a terrific recording of Valaam Chant. The recording and engineering are quite good, the performance by the monastic choir is top notch, and while the chant itself represents more contemporary renditions, they are sung with such joy and piety to be absolutely uplifting and inspirational.
