A collection of para-liturgical spiritual songs, inspired and informed by the Orthodox faith in Russia, as carried forth by emigrees into new lands. Subject matter of the lyrics spans praise of the saints, personal struggles, and giving glory to God.

The choir of Nuns of St. Elizabeth Convent in Minsk are becoming more and more lauded for their beautiful and traditional performances of Russian liturgical music. In this recording, they bring that attention and execution to bear on a collection of para-liturgical hymns that taveled abroad with Russian emigres. All are spiritual in nature, designed to lift the spirit, and beautifully sung.
